On the road to the Oscars the Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards is a really important stop. Many of recent Best Picture Oscar winners have first picked up a PGA Award and so while we wont know the nominees for this years Academy Awards until next week we might get a real sneak peak at who will win this Saturday night. Movies aren’t the only thing being honored though. The PGA Awards also celebrates television as well. On this list are PGA Awards are a nominee and an honoree, but mostly it is some of the faces of nominated films and programs that I would like to see support their projects on this red carpet. Elisabeth Moss is nominated as a producer of her hit Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale. The show hasn’t been sweeping awards season like it did last year. Will this be its turning point? I’m not sure. These guilds and associations like to award shows in their final nomination and The Americans is probably the favorite. I believe in my soul that Elisabeth will probably wear a short dress on Saturday night for the PGA Awards. I mean she has worn short looks for basically every red carpet for the last year. But I would really love to see her give us menswear inspired glamour with this cream Balmain double breasted tuxedo gown which features long sleeves, gold buttons, and a column silhouette. Elisabeth tends to stick to looks in cream or black and so since I’m pushing her out of her short dress comfort zone into a gown I stayed in her color zone. I think a romantic updo, defined eyes, red lips, rosy cheeks, a pair of gold Jimmy Choo ‘Sadira’ crystal pearl detail pointed toe d’orsay pumps, and David Webb ‘Unity’ white enamel, 18k gold, and diamond drop earrings would all add the perfect finishing touches to this look to make it one of my favorite moments from Elisabeth in a long time. Emma Stone hasn’t been a slave to LV so far this awards season. She has keep her balance of LV to non LV looks pretty even. She does almost always incorporate a piece from LV into every look be it in the form of a bag, shoes, or jewelry. That is how it is supposed to be. I didn’t go into this wish thinking I wanted to do Louis Vuitton for Emma, but I have loved this white Louis Vuitton Spring 2019 RTW mini dress which features silver metal paillette embellishments over white sequins and silver glitter net cap sleeves since it first came down the runway in Paris back in October. I honestly imagined this dress being turned into a gown, but I honestly would want to see Emma wear this as it was presented on the runway for the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday. The dress itself is such a statement that I would keep the styling simple with a sleek updo, smokey silver eyes, red lips, and a pair of silver Aquazzura ‘Galaxy’ crystal studded PVC and metallic leather mules to really make this a beautiful moment on the red carpet. Gemma Chan has played with big volume for the big awards shows and flirty femininity for some of the smaller events, but for the 2019 Producers Guild of America Awards (where Crazy Rich Asians) I want to see her bring something a lot sexier. I love this black Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2019 fully beaded gown which features a halter neckline, draped plunging neckline, a wrap front with drape embellishment at side, and leg slit with asymmetric hem and I feel like Gemma has the grace to make this gown extreme glamour and not trashy. I know people would be tempted to give us a full Angelina leg with a slit like that, but I would just want to see full leg when Gemma walks. It could be a major femme fatale moment with thick winged eyes, red lips, black lace detail Gianvito Rossi strappy sandals, and David Morris diamond chandelier earrings. Jane Fonda is going to be honored with Stanly Kramer Award which is given to an individual or film that illuminate provocative social issues. Jane is actually only the second person to receive this award not attached to a film. She has long been a political activist in many arenas, and is one of the biggest voices for women’s rights not just in Hollywood but for the rights of women across the United States and the world. Since this is such a big honor I wanted to make sure that she had a gown that matched the occasion. Had Jane not been honored or nominated this awards season I probably would have saved this black Armani Prive Fall 2018 Couture long sleeve gown which features a sheer shirred construction, jewel neckline, gold crystal embellishments, and a tiered a-line pleated skirt for her to wear in May at Cannes. But when she was announced as a special honoree this year at the PGA Awards I thought it would be a perfect moment. Her signature flipped out bob, defined eyes, soft antique rose pink lips, a pair of black satin Manolo Blahnik ‘Opimia’ d’orsay pointed toe mary-jane pumps, and a selection of Van Cleef & Arpels jewels including simple diamond and emerald drop earrings and a statement emerald and diamond cocktail ring would all ensure this look is perfect for Jane to bring to life on this red carpet. Laura Harrier has been wearing a lot of black and white on the red carpet this awards season while she has been making the rounds promoting her nominated film BlacKkKlansman. I decided to keep her in that same color scheme for Saturday’s Producers Guild of America Awards, but while she has predominately worn Louis Vuitton this awards season I have decided I wanted to see something different from her on this red carpet. I would love to see Laura bring out her edgier side opting for this black and white Alexander Wang Fall 2019 RTW ensemble which features a white asymmetrical sleeve silk jersey t-shirt bodice and and asymmetrical black tuxedo inspired wrap skirt with a sexy center split. I know that this type of gown would need someone who could bring a classic elegance in it to not be over done and I believe that Laura would definitely infuse that into this look especially when paired with a black Louis Vuitton ‘Bleecker Box’ epi leather top handle case clutch, a sleek updo, smokey eyes, bold red lips, black Louis Vuitton ‘Overnight’ crystal chain ankle strap and leather strap platform sandals, and a pair of Bulgari ‘Le Magnifiche Creazioni’ diamond and sapphire drop earrings. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is one of my favorite shows and I hope it takes home the PGA Award for episodic comedy. Rachel Brosnahan is also one of my favorite style stars and so I want to see her step out on the red carpet at the PGA Awards to support her nominated producers. Since she is in a period show she tries to bring modern looks to the red carpet and I love it. She loves color and simplicity. I kept the modern vibe going with this midnight blue and burgundy striped Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2019 one sleeved asymmetrically draped velvet dress which features a high collar and a below the knee hem. I really think that Rachel’s pale alabaster skin would pop against this dark color. Add a sleek updo, thick defined eyes, red lips, simple navy Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pointed toe pumps, and Hueb ‘Mirage’ diamond and blue tanzanite ear crawling earrings all would ensure this look is perfection.

The 2019 Producers Guild of America Awards will take place on Saturday January 19, 2019.
