Now that we are officially past awards season the stars that did the pony show to the Oscars are off enjoying some well deserved rest, but the Empire Awards are upon us. The awards which are handed out and voted upon by the readers of Empire Magazine, so I don’t know how many of the big film stars will actually show up on the red carpet. We only saw Anya Taylor Joy at events surrounding the BAFTA Awards and of course the actual BAFTA Awards, where she picked up the EE Rising Star Award, and that was about it. I have been loving her style as she is a statuesque beauty with avant garde tastes. If she does attend the Empire Awards on March 18, 2017 where she is nominated for Best Female Newcomer for her role in The Witch, I hope that she brings her signature style to the red carpet. I think that this white long sleeve Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 RTW gown covered in red polka dots and gown features a mock neck, full length sleeves, and ruffles at the hem would be gorgeous on Anya. The dress likens to a day gone by with its nod to Victoriana styling and I think that Anya would be absolutely gorgeous wearing this dress on the red carpet. A pair of black crystal embellished Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ cherry sandals, a sleek low bun, lined eye, rosy cheeks, and a soft glossy pink lip would really make this another wow moment for Anya. I am not entirely sure that Academy Award winner Emma Stone will turn out for the Empire Awards. Had this awards show been before the BAFTA’s or the Oscars I think that Emma would have shown up, but not so sure if she will next week. I am hoping that she will since she won the Best Actress award for everything else that why not add this to her arsenal. If she does I would love to see Emma deliver this modern take on 50’s glamour moment from the J. Mendel Fall 2017 RTW collection. The nior and navy strapless tea length gown which features a cinched waist and tiered pleating detail would be a true glamour moment and I think that Emma would more than do this dress justice on the red carpet. Styling the gown with a sleek 50’s inspired updo, a lined eye, red lip, and a pair of black crystal embellished Christian Louboutin ‘Grekoronda’ sandals would make this a truly amazing moment for Emma, definitely a best dressed of the year worthy look.
