It seems so long ago that I started my wishes for the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards, which take place this Saturday February 25, 2017, but I was waiting for a good amount of the presenters to be announced to finish my wishes off. This year a host of really gorgeous presenters are slated to take to the red carpets to celebrate the best in independent films. Aubrey Plaza is one of the most underrated red carpet stars in my opinion. Aubrey always brings great looks to the red carpet and has been a darling of Prada. For the Spirit Awards on Saturday I would love to see Aubrey really go for a bold look with this emerald green Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2017 long sleeve mini dress which features bold shoulders, all over embellishment, and an a-line skit. I don’t think that Aubrey has ever worn Elie Saab on the red carpet before and I think that this red carpet is the perfect place for her to give the label it’s first spin on the red carpet. Styling the look with simple black sandals, a sleek bun, and a smokey eye would be exactly what I would add to this look to really make it a major moment. I always love a good Jessica Chastain red carpet moment and I am really intrigued to see what she is going to bring to the red carpet on Saturday night at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. The more relaxed air of the Spirit Awards red carpet can bring so many different type of looks from casual to couture. In the past Jessica as worn Armani Prive, Elie Saab, and Saint Laurent for the Spirit Awards red carpet so her looks have varried in the past. This one shoulder floral Adam Lippes Fall 2017 RT cocktail dress trimmed in gold fringe would be the most casual look that Jessica has worn on the Spirit Awards red carpet, but I think that since she isn’t one of the nominees this year that it would definitely work. Adam Lippes is one of those up and coming labels from New York that I am really intrigued by. Most of the time I really love his sportswear, but occasionally there are some red carpet ready looks and I think this is one. Some will liken this dress to drapes, especially because of the gold fringe, but I would think that Jessica would definitely elevate this look to a whole new level. Styling the look with a wavy ponytail, gold strappy sandals, a light eye, light pink lip, gold chunky bracelet, and a pair of dainty gold earrings would really make this a perfect look for the Spirit Awards red carpet. There was a bit of time last year when I thought that we had lost the best of Kate Beckinsale, but she has been pretty on point so far this year. I am very excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet on Saturday night at the Spirit Awards, where she is a presenter. I would love to see Kate deliver this gorgeous edgy glam grey Sally LaPointe Fall 2017 RTW halter pencil dress which features a velvet waistband, feather peplum, and daring split. This dress is a little more edgy and out there than we are used to seeing Kate wearing on the red carpet, but I think that she would really kill this look on the red carpet. The fitted pencil silhouette of this dress is standard Kate, but the split, feathers, and neckline are all different for her and a difference that I could totally get behind. While this dress might be a little more formal and edgy than the Spirit Awards usually calls for I think that she would really make this look major. A romantic updo, lined eye, red lip, diamond and sapphire cluster earrings, and a pair of strappy black sandals would definitely ensure that this look comes together completely. Kirsten Dunst had a great year on the red carpet last year with her killer moments at the Cannes Film Festival as her top moment. I am hoping that she delivers some really gorgeous moments this weekend. For the Spirit Awards I went with moody and flirty with this bordeaux Prabal Gurung Fall 2017 RTW flutter sleeve cocktail dress which features button detail, lace cutouts, an a-line tired skirt, slashed detail on the sleeve, a plunging neckline for Kirsten to really make this another win on the red carpet. I think that the Victorian kinda vibe is really enticing and I think that the true glamour moment of this dress would make it absolutely fabulous. I would go full kinda romantic gothic glam with a chic updo, lined eye, bordeaux lip, and black sandals to really make this a truly gorgeous dark and romantic moment on the red carpet for Kristen. And last but not least is the gorgeous and sexy Taraji P. Henson who will be presenting as well at the Spirit Awards on Saturday. Taraji has been up and down with her style recently and I am hoping that over the next week that all the outing that she takes really wow. For the Spirit Awards I would love to see the glam punk side of Taraji in Alexander Wang, as the two really make magic together. This black Alexander Wang Fall 2017 RTW long sleeve cocktail mini dress which features a crystal trimmed sheer cutouts is uber sexy, but I think that Taraji has the presence to make it work. It has the same shape as the purple satin Marc Jacobs dress that Taraji wore for the Grammy’s that fell flat. I think that dress was bad because it was ill-fitting and the material didn’t hide anything. Rounding this look out with a pair of simple black sandals, ditching the runway tights adding a pair of diamond cluster earrings, a sleek hairstyle, lined eye, and a red lip would ensure that Taraji shows why she is the queen of sexy glamour on the red carpet.
