The 2016 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards are going to take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Monday (June 6.) I am really hoping that Diane Kruger is among the guests at the big fashion awards as she has been on fire recently. I really think that she would be the perfect person to represent Swarovski Award for Womenswear label Monse on the red carpet. I would love to see Diane rock the red carpet wearing this pink and silver Monse Fall 2016 RTW one shoulder gown draped to evoke the idea of a reworked men’s dress shirt, which has become the brands signature. I think that it will take a girl with real fashion chops to really make this gown work on the red carpet and I think that Diane certainly has the chops to make this work. Chic waves, red lip, silver clutch and metallic silver pumps would really create another gorgeous look for Diane. Kate Bosworth has been killing it on the red carpets this year and I am hoping that she will be at the CFDA Awards on Monday. I would really love to see Kate take this orange and black Victoria Beckham Fall 2016 RTW strapless a-line cocktail dress which features stripes pieced together in different directions and turn it into a gown. I think Kate would be gorgeous in the cocktail version but it would really be a moment if she turned it into a gown that just hits the floor. A pair of black sandals, a black clutch, yellow gold set diamond drop earrings, and chic updo would really turn this look into something absolutely major. I would be surprised if Lupita Nyong’o isn’t at the CFDA Awards on Monday. Lupita is currently staring on Broadway and Monday is her night off and being such a supporter of fashion I think she would be a wonderful addition to the red carpet. I am hoping that Lupita will also wear a modified version of a runway dress taking this black and white Proenza Schouler Fall 2016 RTW bonded fil-a-coup v -neck dress which features frayed and jeweled details. I think that this cocktail dress would look absolutely amazing as a gown and Lupita would work it to it’s maximum potential. I can also see Lupita supporting her go to shoe designer Paul Andrew, who is nominated for the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design, by pairing this look with a pair of his strappy black ‘Ella’ sandals. A bold lip, colorful eye, and a pair of dazzling diamond drop earrings would really help Lupita shut the red carpet down.Nina Dobrev is almost always on the red carpet at the CFDA Awards as she basically only wears CFDA members on the red carpet. I would love to see Nina hit the red carpet on Monday giving me one of the boldest looks of the night with this red J. Mendel Fall 2016 RTW pleated chiffon cocktail dresses which features a multicolored beaded modified halter neckline. I think that this would be an absolutely amazing moment. Usually I prefer gowns for event’s like this but I really think that his dress is in such fine fashion that Nina would be able to compete with some of the grander ball gown’s. A red Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch, chic updo, red lip, and a pair of blue Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass’ pumps would really send this look into killer territory. Zendaya has been all over the red carpet scene this year and I would be very surprised if she doesn’t hit the red carpet at the CFDA on Monday. I would love to see Zendaya wearing this light blue Marchesa Fall 2016 RTW ostrich feather tea length gown on the red carpet. I am really in love with this gown and I know that Zendaya would really be able to give it the justice that it deserves on the red carpet. Zendaya knows how to take these more avant garde and glamorous looks and make them come across in such a chic and effortless way. I went back and forth on how to style this look but ultimately have settled on adding a blue Edie Parker ‘Fiona’ faceted clutch, a pair of silver Christian Louboutin ‘Paris Ete’ sandals, a romantic updo, & smokey eye to really send this into best dressed territory.
